Since 1910, March 8 has been celebrated around the world as International Women’s Day – a day to celebrate and promote women’s rights and gender equality. From the very beginning of VTS, women have played an important part in the development of our company.
Nancy Robertson (Corner Gas), Christine Lippa (DC’s Legends of Tomorrow), Veena Sood (X-Files, Smallville), Ellen Kennedy (My Little Pony), Denalda Williams (Whose Line Is It Anyway, The X-Files), Ellie Harvey (The New Addams Family, Stargate Atlantis, Stargate SG-1), Lori Dungey (Lord of the Rings), and the multi-award-winning Diana Frances are only a few of our distinguished female alumni. Our current company is nearly 50% female – something of a rarity in what is still a male-dominated art form.
On Sunday, March 8 join Vancouver TheatreSports in a mirthful and laugh-filled celebration of International Women’s Day featuring a special show featuring an all-star cast of women players drawn from our current ensemble and Rookie League.
Be sure to check our special St Patrick’s Day show Shamrocks and Shenanigans on Mar.17 at 7:30p.m.
