Join us for some fun with all things Irish at Shamrocks & Shenanigans, the improv comedy company’s St. Paddy’s Day celebration on Sunday, March 17. Patrons that night will laugh ‘til their faces hurt at a crazy Celtic version of TheatreSports™ starting at 7:30 p.m.
What is Celtic TheatreSports you might ask? Think of a TheatreSports™ scene with dialogue made up of random Irish expressions, or what happens when someone in a scene ‘acts the maggot’ (‘being obnoxious, behaving like an idiot’) or turns out to be one of ‘the little people.’ As in all VTS shows, the inspirations come from audience suggestions so you never know what the talented improvisers will create on the spot. What we do you is that it will be hilarious and leave you with sore sides from laughing so hard.
‘Begosh and begorrah’ the air will be thick with Irish accents with roving Lucky Charm Leprechauns bringing pots of golden merriment to all they encounter and our Celtic Colleen will be improvising custom limericks for guests.
As The Improv Centre is fully licensed, patrons may ‘fancy a few scoops’ (‘partake in the consumption of sociable drinks’) at the Neil Macrae Bar & Lounge. Bar Manager Paul Belsito is getting into the ‘spirits of the evening’ with a specials on Guinness (what would St. Paddy’s Day be without Guinness?), shots of Jameson’s Irish Whiskey and the obligatory green beer on draft. Don’t forget, audience members can enjoy their beverages inside the theatre as they watch the show.
All tickets for the evening are $15.75 plus fees and taxes.
Note: Ticket vouchers are not redeemable for this special event.
These guys are hilarious!! I've been a few times, and seen a few different shows- they do battles, themes and beginners; but each show is different. Great for a night out with mates or a first date ice breaker. Definitely worth checking out!"
It's always such a pleasure - always involving hysterical laughter, staff is super friendly. You will NEVER leave disappointed. ☺️"
I've been here a few times and it is always a blast. High quality and inexpensive entertainment!"
