You’ve fallen in love with her on YouTube and now the indomitable Michelle Gidard (played by VTS ensemble member Angela Galanopoulos) is coming to the live stage at The Improv Centre. Starting in May, join us on Mondays for Improv Mondays with Michelle – Fake Stories, Real Improvisers hosted by the character Michelle from the popular web comedic soap opera Michelle’s. The original web series, created by Galanopoulos and fellow VTS ensemble member Andrew Barber, is set in the mythical restaurant Michelle’s in Hope. Our show diverges from the original concept as each performance is not necessarily set in Hope or the restaurant. What will be consistent is that all will be over-the-top funny with the larger-than-life Michelle in charge. The first half of the show is comprised of short-form scenarios and the second half of the show will be a mini soap opera – all based on audience contributions. Each scene’s comedic melodrama will be enhanced by live musical underscoring by pianist Matt Grinke.

The theatre doesn't usually have a show Mondays so this was a pleasant surprise. A combination of short theatre games and then a longer improv piece. Very interactive, professional and most importantly funny. There was even a prize for one of the audience members. All shows are reasonably priced but Mondays at $10 was exceptional value. I would not hesitate to attend and would bring my teens again. Every show guaranteed to be different."
Went to improv Mondays and watched Michelle soap. I would highly recommend going to see it. The venue has a wonderful stage where they host multiple shows. There is a nice little bar where you can get small bags of gummy bears and nuts."
Overall a great night of improv with a show worth checking out, a character worth visiting, and the most fun you’ll have on a Monday."
...take off your gloomy Monday hats and upside frowns and come on down for a rip-roaring snorting good time as Michelle’s Improv Mondays will make you feel that there’s more to Mondays then going to work and crying in your coffee."
It's always such a pleasure - always involving hysterical laughter, staff is super friendly. You will NEVER leave disappointed. ☺️"
