Claire Pollock

  • Joined VTS: 2016
  • How did you become an improv actor?: “When I finished getting my bachelors of performance art, I thought I was going to be a serious dramatic actor. After spending a few years bombing auditions, I decided to take an improv class to help with my nerves during auditions, and I fell in love with comedy.”
  • Where did you receive your improv training?: “I had some improv training while I was getting my degree from The University of Wales, but the majority of my training was through the ICI and Rookie League.”
  • Other improv: “I am the founder of The Dirty Betty Show, a comedic variety show with an all female identifying cast. I, also perform regularly with The Fictionals and Momentous Comedy, and I’m a guest star with Queerprov.”
  • Also a stand-up comedian and actress who performs in venues all over the city.

  • What one thing would you like the audience to know about you?:
    “I cannot ice skate for the life of me, but every year I go to robson square in the hopes of becoming Tessa Virtue.”
