Where to eat

Vancouver is known world-wide as a culinary destination. We have a unique cuisine culture that is enhanced by our close proximity to the bounty of the ocean, a mild climate and a famed wine-growing region. Because of our location on the Pacific Rim, Vancouver’s food scene is a cross-cultural experience where you’ll find a great sushi restaurant on almost every street corner, ‘the best Chinese food outside of China’ (The New York Times), fantastic south Asian places from high end to Dosa bars. You can literally ‘eat the world’ in Vancouver. We are fortunate that Granville Island and its immediate vicinity abounds in wonderful places to grab a bite. Below is a partial listing of what is available in and around Granville Island. For restaurants in other areas, please check Tourism Vancouver.

The Granville Island Public Market Take-Out/Fast Food/Coffee & Tea

The Public Market has two food courts offering reasonably-priced take-out food – both are located on the north end (rear) of the Market building and open on to the central courtyard where you can sit outside and enjoy the view. There is also limited seating available inside the Market. The main food court is located to the west (w) of the central courtyard and the other, smaller food court, is to the east (e). Dining options are plentiful, so much more than we can list here. If you are looking for something specific, there is a full directory here. Some of VTS favourites are:
