Teen Intro to Improv Program

Our Teen Intro to Improv Program is designed to empower youth with important basic improv skills and principles. Over the 6 weeks together, students will be coached in the areas of teamwork, collaboration, creativity, confidence, idea building and listening through various improv exercises and games. They will brainstorm ideas together to create original stories and characters. Some teens take the class to enhance their acting and audition goals, while others find the improv training helpful in other areas such as public speaking, class presentations and other creative outlets. We aim to keep the class fun, non-competitive and supportive. There is no showcase for this class. Ages:  13 to 17 years

Prerequisites:
No prior improv or acting experience is necessary. The only requirement is that students:

  • Want to learn improv
  • Have a positive mindset about learning (a willingness to give it a try!)
  • Be respectful and supportive to their team
