Relying on razor-sharp wit and lightning-fast reflexes, two teams of performers are pitted against each other in competitive improv matches. Using audience suggestions to fuel scenes, teams must create totally improvised situations on the spot.
Each TheatreSports match is overseen by a referee. More than just a whimsical host, the ref will slap the improvisers with penalties & jabs, or reward them with bonuses as he/she sees fit. And round after grueling round, the audience votes for the best scenes & the sharpest improv.
THEATRESPORTS® is high-action short form improv full of comic vengeance!

Awesome actors-great creativeness and just a barrel of fun. You must go! Heck, we're going back very soon."
A great way to spend the evening outside of the "downtown" core. If you love watching a great comedy show totally recommend going and checking out the theatre sports shows. The shows are well priced and very entertaining. Staff and performers are very friendly and make the evening a night to remember."
We got to see a two team competition show on a Friday night and it was great. The performers fed off the energy of the crowd and kept people laughing through the whole show. If you like improv comedy, you need to see Vancouver TheatreSports League in action."
I took the plunge, and saw one of the Friday evening shows. It's a gas! Would totally recommend it to anyone looking for a good har-har in the evening. Drinks, funny people, cheap tickets, on beautiful and fun Granville Island.... the list goes on. See TheatreSports. Do it!"
This was so much fun. Had a great time. Went to see the 9:30 TheatreSports show and decided, on a whim, to stay and watch the late 11:15 show too. Our favourite experience from our day trip to Granville Island. Laughed and laughed. The cast had a great time and so did we."
