2017 Year in Review

End the year with lots of laughs as VTSL's quick-witted improvisers find the funny in the important and not so important events of 2017.

2017 Year in Review

Vancouver’s lack of affordable housing, hurricanes, false news, Russian hacking, and celebrity scandals are just a few of the stories that grabbed the headlines in 2017. Some were confusing (bike lanes…again), some trivial (almost any celebrity breakup) and others scary (it snowed in Vancouver). Regardless, all will provide fodder for Vancouver TheatreSports ™ (VTSL) quick-witted improvisers as they journey back through the headlines this past year with Year in Review.

Running December 26 through 31, at The Improv Centre on Granville Island, Year in Review finds the funny in the important and not so important, events of this past year. Working with suggestions from the audience, VTSL improvisers create on-the-spot mash-up interpretations of various events, all certain to elicit maximum hilarity.

Hilarious. Booked in for New Year's Eve 9.30pm special, was worried we wouldn't understand some of the jokes or news references -- being from overseas -- but that couldn't be further from the truth. Brilliantly planned and executed. My daughter, who is 12, laughed so hard. It was fantastic, highly, highly recommend.
