Michael Robinson

Michael Robinson has been improvising professionally for 30 years in Vancouver, New Zealand, Australia, London, and recently at festivals in Seattle, Miami, San Francisco, Calgary, and Chicago. He likes both short and long form, but thinks long form is sexier in underwear. He also works as an actor and director, and many of his credits are listed on www.imdb.com - where he is Michael Robinson II. He has created, directed, and/or taught several major improv groups, including the Improv Bandits, the Court Jesters, and the Vancouver TheatreSports League. He has taught improvisors and actors in Vancouver, London, New York, San Francisco, Los Angeles, Seattle, New Zealand, and Sydney - where his students included Oscar winner Cate Blanchett. Outside of improv he has ten international awards for directing television, including a BAFTA for the BBC series 'Serious Arctic’, has studied with famed sitcom director James Burrows, and has directed over 40 sitcom episodes. He is currently acting, improvising, and teaching improv at the Vancouver Film School.

Vancouver TheatreSports® League is comprised of many talented performers.
