If you purchased your tickets online you were given the option to either have your tickets mailed to you or to pick them up at Will Call.

Will Call: please print off your booking confirmation (this was emailed to you at time of booking on-line) and present it (either as a hard-copy print off or on your mobile device) to the Box Office any time after 6:00 pm. on the night of your show and we’ll have your tickets ready for you.

If you’ve already purchased your tickets, we recommend arriving at least 30 minutes prior to the show start time. This will give you enough time to claim your tickets at Will Call, visit the Neil Macrae Bar & Lounge for a drink and find your seats.

Performances start promptly at the time indicated on your ticket. Due to the nature of Improv, we unfortunately cannot seat Latecomers as it is too disruptive to the audience and cast. If the show has an Intermission, Latecomers can be seated at that time at the discretion of the Front of House Staff.
Please Note: 60-minute shows do not have an intermission.

All ticket sales are final and unfortunately, we are not able to offer refunds. However we recommend that you don’t let your tickets go to waste. You can pass on your booking confirmation to a friend, and as long as they have that document (either printed or shown on their mobile device) they will be able to claim your tickets. Alternatively, there is a non-profit organization called Kids Up Front that takes tickets you aren’t able to use to give to children and their families. Please see kidsupfrontvancouver.com for more information.

GENERAL FAQs

We encourage audience participation for all of our shows, but we would never ask an audience member to come up on stage or participate if they didn’t want to, regardless of where they’re seated.

Participation is encouraged and a key factor in Improv. Please call out your ideas or volunteer to participate when the cast requests audience participation. Untimely or ‘unasked for’ participation can be very disruptive to the cast and unpleasant for your fellow audience members. In such cases, individuals will be asked to leave the theatre if the disruptive behavior continues.

You are welcome to take pictures and post to Social Media before the show at Intermission and after the show. Please share them on our social media feeds with the tags @VanTheatreSport #VTSL. Using your camera during the performance is disruptive to fellow audience members as well as to the cast and is not allowed under any circumstances. Individuals not respecting this regulation will be asked to leave the theatre.

Talking on the phone during the performance is disruptive to fellow audience members as well as the cast and is not allowed under any circumstances. Individuals not respecting this regulation will be asked to leave the theatre. If you must use your phone, please make your call in the hallway or Bar outside the theatre.

The Improv Centre is a fully-licensed facility with the Neil Macrae Bar & Lounge. Unlike other theatres, we encourage you to bring your beverages purchased from our bar into the theatre with you to enjoy during the show. The bar also offers a limited number of snacks available for purchase.

Beverages purchased from the Neil Macrae Bar are welcome to be brought into the theatre. Food is not permitted in the theatre.

We strive to offer programming which is accessible to most ages. However we do not allow children under the age of seven in the theatre as wee ones can be disruptive. The content of our shows generally reflects what you would find on TV during that time of the evening. The later the show, the more adult-appropriate it becomes.
Please Note: as The Improv Centre is a licensed facility, all minors (persons under the age of 19) must be accompanied by an adult.

Granville Island is pedestrian and cycling friendly. We are accessible via transit and have ample parking (majority of it is free after 7:00 pm). For more information please our How to Get Here page.
